Trader booked for cheating embroidery unit owner of Rs 90Lakh

SURAT: A textile trader was booked by Salabatpura police for cheating embroidery job work unit owner of Rs 90lakh. The FIR was lodged after one-and-half-year of the incident following direct intervention of police commissioner Satish Sharma.

The complainant, Rajnish Lilha had done embroidery work to the tune of Rs 90 lakh on the saris supplied by textile trader Rakesh Dhandharia, who owns a textile shop at Millinneum market on Ring Road.

The accused made payments through four cheques, but all returned for lack of sufficient funds. Lilha stated in his complaint that the former police inspector of Salabatpura police station was hand-in-glove with the textile trader. tnn
