GURUGRAM: A month after MCG sealed commercial establishments for operating without a valid trade licence, five spa owners defiantly went ahead to break the seals and allegedly opened them in the mall. The MCG approached the police against them, following which an FIR has been registered against the spa owners at Sector 50 police station.

According to the complaint filed by zonal taxation officer-IV for joint commissioner of the municipal corporation, these spas were among 50 centres which were recently sealed by MCG for not having valid trade licence around two weeks back. “As per the norms, they had to take desealing permission from us, but ignoring the procedure they removed the seals and started operations. We have approached the police seeking a strict action against the erring spa owners,” said the MCG official in the complaint.

An FIR was registered against the owner of these spas (Blue Stone, Grand Paradise, Decent Spa, Attraction and Amitav Spa) under sections 447 (criminal trespass), 188 (disobedience to order duly promulgated by public servant) of IPC at Sector 53 police station.

“We are investigating the matter. Action will be taken as per the law,” said probationer sub-inspector Jai Bhagwan, the investigating officer.
