Eight IPS officers transferred in Bihar

PATNA: The Bihar government transferred eight IPS officers in state on Friday.

Buxar SP Rakesh Kumar was made the new City SP of Muzaffarpur while the present City SP Upendra Nath Verma replaced Kumar in Buxar.

Pankaj Sinha, who was presently posted as DIG (Special branch) was made DIG-cum-deputy commandant general of Bihar home guard and fire services.

Dheeraj Kumar got posted as BMP-4 commandant at Dumraon. He would also hold additional charge of commandant-cum-principal, military police training centre and first battalion of State Industrial Security Force, both at Dumraon. He was earlier posted as commandant of BMP-9 at Jamalpur and was holding additional charge of commandant-cum-principal of constable training school (CTS) at Simultala.

Kumar was replaced by Himanshu Kumar Trivedi who was earlier posted as SP (special branch).

Bihar police academy assistant director Swapna G Meshram was transferred to the position of principal of CTS, Nathnagar.

ASP (Probation, Patna) Lipi Singh was posted as sub-divisional police officer (SDPO) of Barh in Patna and ASP (Probation, Muzaffarpur) was posted as Danapur SDPO.
