KOLAR: A fortnight ago in
Chikkamagaluru, a man walked into the
police station with his wife’s
severed head. On Thursday in
Srinivasapura station in
Kolar district, a person did something eerily similar — Aziz Khan went to the cops with his lover’s severed head.
At 6pm, Aziz, 27, of Srinivsapur town walked into the police station with Roshini Khan’s head. She was from Viveknagar, Bengaluru. Aziz told police that he murdered Roshini near Murugamalla in Chintamani taluk, Chikkaballapura district, and had come to surrender.
Srinivasapur police handed over the case to Chintamani Rural police and its cops took Aziz to the spot to recover her body. It was a remote place and police had a tough time finding it.
Police said Aziz was married and had an affair with Roshini who had deserted her husband. During the past few weeks, Roshini had befriended another man and was going around with him. Upset at this, Aziz reportedly brought Roshini to Murugamalla, a shrine for Muslims. The duo spent four days in the shrine before Khan committed the crime. He severed her head in the afternoon, put it in a bag and went to Srinivasapur police station on a two-wheeler.
