Newborn girl’s body found dumped

GURUGRAM: The body of a newborn girl child was found in the Kadipur industrial area.

According to police, around 9am on Thursday when a Dhanawas village resident, Om Prakash, spotted a polythene bag near the garbage in the street number 7 of the Kadipur industrial area. He also noticed some dogs sniffing at the bag, police said.

When he took a closer look at the bag, he found a newly born, and called the police. A police team reached the spot and found the body of a newborn girl child in it. Police took the body in custody and sent it to the mortuary.

Acting on the complaint of Om Prakash, an FIR has been registered under section 318 (concealment of birth and secret disposal of the body) of IPC at Sector 10 police station.

“We are investigating into the matter”, said ASI Krishan Chander, the investigating officer.
