KOLKATA: Panic broke out at Greenpark in Lake Town when residents spotted two crude bombs in front a closed photocopy shop on the ground floor of a residential apartment around 6.30am on Thursday.
The locals informed the cops who took them away. "Several schoolchildren crowd my store from early morning. It's scary to even think what would have happened if the bombs were not spotted early," said shopowner Debjani Samanta.

At Barrackpore, a civic worker and a pedestrian were severely injured when a crude bomb exploded in front of the office of the additional commissioner of police at Barrackpore cantonment's Ardali bazaar on Thursday morning.

Cops have started probing both incidents.
