Many track marshals are brave souls whose passion for motorsport is evident when debris needs to be removed from the 'live' track.

An example of this took place in 2015 during the Russian Grand Prix in Sochi. A section of Daniil Kvyat's rear wing broke off and the brave marshal duly scaled the wall and ran across the track on a blind left hand turn section of the track.

Ferrari's Sebastian Vettel came speeding around the corner, almost colliding with 'the very brave Russian', according to the driver.

Let's hope the marshals don't take such big risks at this weekend's Russian GP.
