Witzenmann India Pvt Ltd., a manufacturer of automotive exhaust decouplers for the Indian automobile sector, has diversified into industrial and rail transport sectors, said a top official.
“Started in 2008 at the invitation of Hyundai plant, we have been catering to the needs of Indian automobile sector,” said V. Chandrasekhar, president and CEO, Witzenmann India. “Today, we are foraying into non-auto sector to make expansion joints and pipe assemblies.” Till date, the group companies had invested approximately ₹60 crore to expand Chennai and Kolkata plants.
A sum of ₹20 crore had been set aside for diversification, he added. “Of the total revenue pie, automobile accounts for 50% and CVs 21%,” he said.
