RAJKOT: A woman allegedly killed her husband with the help of her paramour and then eloped with him after burying the body in Ringaniyala village of Savarkundala taluka in Amreli district. While the crime was committed on September 24, the man’s body was found buried in a farmhouse on Wednesday.
The victim was identified as Bhola Gohel (27), a resident of Dungergam village of Savarkundala. The accused were identified as Kajal Gohel (25) and Nagji Mewada (28).
As there was no news from Bhola, his elder brother Jaga went in search of him to the farm where Bhola, his wife Kajal and Mewada used to work as labourers. However, he did not find any of them.
Suspicious over their disappearance, Jaga approached the police. “We decided to search the farm thoroughly. While we were searching, one of the cops found a freshly dug pit covered with mud. When we dug the spot, we found Bhola’s body,” said said Dunger police station sub-inspector H G Gohel. Since both Kajal and Nagji were missing, Jaga accused both of them of killing Bhola in his complaint. He alleged that Kajal and Nagji had an affair,” added the cop.
