Greater Noida to be Pro Kabaddi team’s home

Greater Noida: The Shaheed Vijay Singh Pathik Sports Complex in Greater Noida has been declared the home ground for Uttar Pradesh’s UP Yoddha for the upcoming edition of Pro Kabaddi League starting from October 6. The ground will host six matches from October 2 to 8.
In the team launching event on Thursday, Rishank Devadiga (raider) was announced the captain of the 12-member team which will represent Uttar Pradesh. The motto given to the team was “Saas Rok, Seena Thok” in which players were advised to stop breath and thump chest in the game. The team will play five matches from November 2 with Tamil Thalaivas, Bengaluru Bulls, Bengal Warriors, and Telugu Titans and Patna Warriors while in total the team will play 23 matches across the country.

“We are happy with the announcement of Greater Noida to be our home ground. I’m sure that we will get good support from the crowd and our performance will be a hit since we have trained really hard this year,” said Devadiga.
