The latest title in the franchise will launch next week.
McLaren has celebrated the imminent launch of Forza Horizon 4 with an epic race at the Goodwood estate.
Using the famous hillclimb course – the centerpiece of the world-famous Festival of Speed and the driveway to the house on the estate – McLaren raced its new Senna hypercar against three 450-cc Motocross bikes.
Of course, the Senna is the cover car for the new Xbox One and Windows exclusive game. Driven by one of McLaren's roster of professional drivers, it proved more than a match for the three bikes, even with the bikes taking more of a direct route.

The Forza franchise's latest collaboration with McLaren follows on from the P1's starring role in Forza Motorsport 5. The first hypercar from the latest incarnation of the present-day McLaren road car business starred on the cover of the first Forza title for the latest generation XBox.
Forza Horizon 4 is the first Horizon title to be set in the U.K. Previous editions were set in Colorado, the south of France and north of Italy, and Australia. The Ultimate Edition of the game will be available from this Friday, September 28, four days ahead of the full global launch of the game on Tuesday, October 2. Horizon 4 will include 450 cars at launch, with a series of downloadable additions and expansions adding to that number at a later date.
The game also gives the general population the best chance of driving the Senna. Only 500 units of the car will be built, and yes, every single one of them has already been sold – in fact, the first 50 or so have already been delivered.
It uses a version of the same Ricardo-built twin-turbo V8 that is currently used in all of McLaren's road cars, this time putting out 789 horsepower. That's good enough to take the car from 0-60 mph (0-96 kph) in just 2.8 seconds, and onto a top speed of 211 mph. The whole thing weighs just 1,198 kilograms (2,198 pounds), and a high speeds the car's many fins and vents help it produce around 800 kg of downforce.

To celebrate the launch of the Microsoft Studios’ Forza Horizon 4 for Xbox One and Windows 10 PCs , an unprecedented race was organised at the Goodwood Hill Climb between cover car, the McLaren Senna and three motocross bikes. Inspired by the car itself and the spectacular showcase of events in Forza Horizon 4, the McLaren Senna took on the three 450cc Motocross bikes on a straight fight to the top of the iconic Goodwood Hill.
Driven by one of McLaren Automotive’s pro drivers and with a top speed of 208mph, the McLaren Senna proved more than a match for the three Motocross bikes. Despite the bikes’ unconventionally direct route up the hill, including a few jaw-dropping jumps and tricks, the Senna’s incredible speed and power won out.
This latest partnership between the British creator of luxury sportscars and supercars and Microsoft follows a rich history of collaboration where McLaren cars have been featured extensively throughout the Forza catalogue, including the McLaren P1TM which debuted on stage at E3 2013 and was the cover star of Forza Motorsport 5. It’s latest star, the McLaren Senna, is the most extreme road car McLaren has ever built and the latest model in the Ultimate Series. The McLaren Senna has been designed, engineered and developed with single-minded purpose: to be the ultimate McLaren track-concentrated car for the road. It bears the name of legendary Formula 1 driver, Ayrton Senna, befitting its status as the ultimate McLaren road-legal track car. With production of the car well underway at the brands home in Woking, over 50 customers have now taken delivery of their McLaren Senna.
Forza Horizon 4 Ultimate Edition is available from this Friday, September 28, four days ahead of the global launch on Tuesday, October 2.
