India and Pakistan are likely to meet on the sidelines of the meeting of foreign ministers of SAARC countries on September 26, though there is still no official word yet. A bilateral meeting between the foreign ministers of India and Pakistan has not yet been ruled out by the government yet. However, according to sources, an informal meeting of SAARC foreign ministers will take place in New York on Sept 26 on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly session, during which the India-Pak meet is being hoped to be held. If the meeting does take place between Sushma Swaraj and Pakistan’s Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi, it will their first meeting since the new government came to power in Pakistan in July.
