BENGALURU: A 27-year-old Youth Congress leader was hacked to death at Allalasandra Gate, near Yelahanka, Sunday midnight while he was returning home after watching a movie with friends.
Arun Kumar, president of
Yelahanka Block Youth Congress who was also into financing, was standing near his car with a friend when he was attacked by four
car-borne men. Arun sustained severe injuries and was rushed to a hospital, where he was declared brought dead. The assailants sped away.
Police ruled out political rivalry behind the murder. They said Kumar left home in his car and parked it near Allalasandra Gate. He joined his friends to watch a movie at a mall near Yeshwantpur. After dinner, his friends dropped him at the spot where they’d picked him up.
