Four persons were killed in three separate accidents in the district in the last two days.
A youth was killed and another seriously injured when a speeding car hit a two-wheeler near Varappuzha late on Monday. The deceased was identified as Sajith, a native of Amballur in Thrissur.
The accident took place near the Varappuzha bridge around 9 p.m. on the national highway. The identity of the injured person is yet to be ascertained.
Three youths were killed in two separate accidents at Chellanam on Sunday evening. In the first case, Sony, 40, and Texon, 26, both natives of Kannamaly, were killed when their motorcycle hit a bus near Companypady around 9 p.m.
In the second incident, Rijo, a native of Kandakkakadavu was killed when his two-wheeler rammed another near Cheriyakadavu. Though rushed to the hospital, he succumbed to the injuries.
