Jaipur, Sep 25 (PTI) AICC general secretary Ashok Gehlot on Tuesday targeted Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje for "bad financial management", saying the debt burden on the state exchequer has increased in her rule for which she should "apologise to people".
Gehlot, the former chief minister, blamed that Raje was "misleading" people by "levelling false allegation" that the previous Congress government had left empty exchequer.
"The reality is that she has increased burden of loan on the state. The debt on the state has constantly increased under Raje's rule. In 2012-13, the debt was Rs 1, 17, 809 crore which has increased more than double today," Gehlot said in a statement.
He said the debt on the state was estimated at Rs 3, 08,033 crore in the 2018-19 budget estimates.
Gehlot said the chief minister was misleading public in her Gaurav yatra and should "apologise to people". PTI SDA CK
