MADISON, Wis.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--InfoSec Institute today announced winners and finalists of its 2018 Cybersecurity Scholarship Program, a new initiative designed to grow awareness of the widening cybersecurity skills and diversity gap. After receiving an overwhelming amount of qualified applicants, the company grew the program from $50,000 to $130,000 in available awards.
“After reviewing candidate applications and reading their stories, we couldn’t possibly select just four recipients,” said Jack Koziol, InfoSec Institute Founder and CEO. “There are thousands of unfilled cybersecurity positions, and this year’s scholarship recipients are exactly the type of new talent we need to fill the growing skills gap. We’re confident our InfoSec Institute boot camps will give them the skills they need to jump-start their cybersecurity careers.”
