Two nabbed with 3.65kg ganja in Kutch

RAJKOT: Two persons were arrested with 3.65kg ganja worth Rs 21,300 from near Isra Railway crossing on Mundra-Anjar highway in Kutch district on Tuesday.

The accused were identified as Mohammad Haji Sayyed (32) and Mahendra Parmar (35). Both are residents of Anjar. According to police, they acted on a tip-off and intercepted the accused duo riding a scooter near Isra railway crossing. On checking, the cops found 3.65kg ganja from the boot space of the scooter. Police also seized two mobile phones from the accused.

The duo had brought the contraband from Mundra for distribution in Anjar. Special operations group (SOG) inspector R J Shukla said that further investigation in the case was underway.
