Replying to a question on the role of coaches in cricket, former India skipper Sourav Ganguly said that unlike football, cricket is a “captains game” and the coach should take a “back seat”. The former Indian captain added that “man management” is one of the key qualities a coach should possess but “hardly few have it”. Ganguly was at the launch of his book - ‘A Century is not Enough’ on 24 September in Symbiosis International (Deemed University) in Pune.
