Madurai city police on Monday busted a prostitution racket operating under the pretext of a spa and massage parlour at Tiruvalluvar Colony in P and T Nagar here.
Police said a team of personnel from Tallakulam station raided the parlour on Monday evening and found that few men were reportedly running a prostitution ring. The police arrested four men and rescued two women, who were exploited for sex.
The arrested were identified as B. Asarudeen (23), K. Shakarbudeen (27), A. Aslam (26) and J. Mutharsir (32). A case under various sections of the Immoral Traffic (Prevention) Act has been registered in this regard.
