GURUGRAM: An accomplice of a techie, who was nabbed earlier for cheating people by posing as a senior judge, has been arrested.
The arrested person is a property dealer who would approach targets on the promise of Kendriya Vidyalaya (KVS) admissions and jobs at AIIMS on behalf of Kedar Nath Sagar Sharma who was picked up from Heritage Max on Sunday. According to police, Bijender (31), a native of Madhepura in Bihar and living in Delhi’s Ghitorni with family, has revealed that he had found at least 10 people seeking KVS admissions and six looking for jobs at AIIMS and introduced them to Sharma.

Bijender was produced in a court on Tuesday and sent to three days of police remand. The main accused has been sent to seven days of police remand and some other arrests are expected too. According to Bijender, he met Sharma after he took a flat at Heritage Max.

Sharma told him he was a senior judge and proposed to work together.

Bijender introduced 30 of the 40 targets to Sharma. All the targets who were seeking to buy and rent property were in touch with him. However, soon he got to know that Sharma was not any judge but it was too late as he was involved. “The accomplice knew Sharma was no judge but he was greedy for money. He recently purchased a plot in Ashok Vihar colony and we suspect that it was with money from their joint venture,” said an investigating officer.

Arun, a Faridabad resident who had allegedly paid Rs 2.5 lakh to Bijender for a job at AIIMS, approached police on Tuesday after reading about Sharma on newspapers. “Bijender got me in touch with Sharma. He had taken Rs 2.5 lakh for a job at AIIMS. The date of appointment was September 25 but I was shocked to find in newspapers that Sharma was running a scam,” Arun told police.

“We are questioning with him and some more cases are likely to be revealed,” said inspector Deepak Kumar, the SHO of Sector 14 police station.
