KOLKATA: The third
heart transplant of Kolkata as well as eastern region of the country will take place on Monday night in
RN Tagore Hospital. The heart of 19-year-old teenager declared brain dead in Patna will be transplanted to a 28-year-old Howrah woman.
After landing in Kolkata, the heart was transported to the hospital through the
green corridor made by the
Kolkata Traffic Police. The heart arrived at the airport at 5.13pm and reached the hospital at 5.50pm.
