College managements to air grievances; over one lakh faculty members to be mobilised

The Telangana Private Junior College Management Association (TPJMA), Telangana Private Degree Colleges’ Management Association (TPDMA) and the Telangana Recognised Schools’ Management Association (TRSMA) have formed into a KG-to-PG Joint Action Committee and have decided to organise a massive public meeting christened Athmagourava Sabha at Gouravelli on the outskirts of Hyderabad city on September 29.

Disclosing this to newsmen here on Sunday, TPJMA State president V. Narender Reddy alleged that the private education sector was diluted in the State by TRS government. “To air our grievances and expose the true colours of the government, we have decided to conduct the public meeting by mobilising over one lakh faculty members and representatives of various managements,” he said.

Long-pending issues

He said the leaders of opposition parties would participate in the event and address the gathering. Mr. Reddy said they have been demanding the government to resolve long-pending problems pertaining to private schools, junior colleges, degree and PG colleges, but in vain.

Fire NOC

Demanding that the government exempt fire NOC for all educational institutions, he said it should increase tuition fees for junior colleges by ₹25,000 for BiPC and MPC and ₹20,000 for CEC and MEC courses. He also sought the release of pending scholarships for all degree and PG colleges.

TRSMA State leader K. Anantha Reddy, TPDMA Devender Reddy and others were also present.
