Islamabad/New Delhi: Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan on Saturday lashed out at Indian government for cancelling talks with Pakistan. He tweeted “disappointed at the arrogant and negative response” to his call for a resumption of dialogue with India.
He added, “All my life, I have come across small men occupying big offices who do not have the vision to see the larger picture.”
Disappointed at the arrogant & negative response by India to my call for resumption of the peace dialogue. However, all my life I have come across small men occupying big offices who do not have the vision to see the larger picture.

Pakistan Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi showed his dismay for the way India first accepted their goodwill and then rejected it. Shah was to be the part of the meeting with Indian Foreign Minister Sushma Swaraj.
“We were of the view that everyone will benefit if we sit together and solve our issues… They first agreed but later had to find excuses to reject our proposal. In the month of September, they named an action taken in the month of July as the reason, which was inappropriate,” Qureshi stated.
Pakistani Information and Broadcasting Minister Fawad Hussain also took a dig and said that he had “never seen such a puerile (childish) statement given by any Foreign Office”.
It seems that the Indian govt is divided on the issue of negotiations — have never seen such a puerile statement given by any Foreign Office. The world is watching: Pakistan stands for peace while Indian policies are being guided by extremist ideologies
