A climber has been airlifted to hospital after falling from a cliff face on Anglesey .
A man rock climbing with a friend fell from a "short distance" on South Stack 's Red Wall cliff shortly before 11.30am today.
The Rescue 936 helicopter was drafted in to help coastguard rescue teams from Holyhead and Cemaes Bay and RNLI crews from Trearddur Bay rescue the man.
Crews managed to reach the casualty, who was lying on the rocks after sustaining injuries to his ribs, while the lifeboat stood by.
After a four and a half hour rescue operation, the man was airlifted to Ysbyty Gwynedd in Bangor .

A spokesman for Holyhead Coastguard said the operation took some time due to the risk of falling rocks.
"A climber had fallen a short distance from Red Wall cliff on South Stack," he said.
"RNLI crews from Trearddur Bay were called, along with Cemaes Bay and Holyhead Coastguard Rescue Teams.
"The Rescue 936 was also sent to the scene as a precaution."
A spokeswoman later added: "The call came in at 11.25am this morning, and stood down at 4.06pm.
"The casualty sustained injury to his ribs."
