Isha Ambani engaged to Anand Piramal
Isha Ambani, daughter of India's richest man Mukesh Ambani, exchanged the ring with Anand Piramal, her long-time friend and son of corporate magnates Ajay Piramal and Swati Piramal, at an opulent engagement ceremony in Italy's Lake Como on Friday. With lush opera music in the background, flowers can be seen showering and a fountain show is conducted just behind the couple. Behind Isha, majestic Alps can be seen, at whose foot Lake Como rests. Pictures of several Bollywood stars spotted at the three-day engagement extravaganza are out, where Priyanka Chopra is seen with fiance Nick Jonas. Sonam Kapoor and her husband Anand Ahuja also shared Instagram snaps from the venue, along with Sonam’s father, Anil Kapoor, and her cousin, Janhvi Kapoor.
While Priyanka stunned in a pastel saree with embellishment all over, Nick looked dapper in black and grey traditional outfit. PeeCee completed her looks with wavy hair and bold lips. Manish Malhotra also posed with the couple.
Janhvi Kapoor was also seen decked up to grab eyeballs at Isha and Anand's engagement. The diva looked stunning in a sheer black gown and red lips. Her stylist took to Instagram to share a couple of sizzling pictures.
Anand, who proposed to Isha at a temple in Mahabaleshwar, is the founder of Piramal Realty, one of India's leading real estate companies. Anand Piramal founded two startups, a healthcare startup, Piramal eSwasthya and Piramal Realty, a real estate startup. Both are now part of the billion family-run conglomerate, Parimal Enterprises. Isha is on the Boards of Reliance Jio and Reliance Retail and is widely credited for instilling a culture of youthful dynamism in the business. In 2018, Anand was conferred with the Hurun Real Estate Unicorn of the Year 2017 by Hurun India and Young Business Leader award by Hello! Magazine.
Anand and Isha have been long-time friends and both the families have known each other for over four decades. Isha holds a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology and South Asian Studies from Yale University.
