On Wednesday, a 23-year-old man stabbed his boyfriend in his sleep after the youth got fed up with constant demands for sex. The 23-year-old boy stabbed his 43-year-old boyfriend in the face, head, hand, and chest with a chopper.
According to Mid-Day, the incident took place on Wednesday around 6 am in Shukrawar Peth, Pune. The Khadak police station got a call from the victim’s house and told them the accused has stabbed him and tried to kill him. The family of the victim was not aware of the fact that he was gay. The victim had married a woman 25 years ago but got divorced within a year. The family was shocked to learn that he was gay and was in a relationship with the accused.
The victim and the accused were known to each other for two years. They both met on an online gay dating portal, during investigation cops found that the accused holds a diploma in engineering and was working as a waiter in a three-star hotel. Sub-Inspector Umaji Rathod, who is investigating the case, told the leading daily, “Both would meet often for sex. The complainant told us that they had gone to sleep around 6 am when his partner started assaulting him.”
The cops also found during the investigation, that the accused claimed that he was harassed by the victim’s repeated demands for sex. They had fought about this on Tuesday night, before going to sleep. The police have arrested the accused under Section 307 (attempt to murder) of the Indian Penal Code, along with the Arms Act and Maharashtra Police Act.
