Legal action sought against CM

Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) activists, led by N. Shankrappa and A. Paapareddy, former legislators, staged a protest against Chief Minister H.D. Kumaraswamy for making a provocative statement and demanded his resignation for “inciting common people to violence” in the State.

Participating in the protest at Tipu Sultan Garden in Raichur on Friday, they said that Mr. Kumaraswamy’s call to the general public to revolt against the BJP was highly provocative and against the law of land. He is the first Chief Minister to “incite the people against an Opposition party” and such statements, that too by a Chief Minister, would have an impact on the people. Thus, legal action is needed to be initiated against Mr. Kumaraswamy, the protesters said.
