Srinagar, Inspector General of Police (IGP) S P Pani and other senior civil, police and security force officials on Friday paid floral tributes to three policemen who were martyred after their abduction by militants in south Kashmir district of Shopian early on Friday morning.
A police spokesman said that the bodies of all three policemen Nisar Ahmad, Firdious Ahmad and Kuldeep Singh were brought to District Police Lines (DPL) Shopian, where large number of civil, police and security force officials were present this afternoon.
IGP, Kashmir, Mr Pani and other officers paid floral tributes to deceased policemen.Taking to micro blogging site twitter spokesman said “Wreath laying ceremony for 3 of our brave colleagues Nisar Ahmad, Firdous Ahmad & Kuldeep Singh martyred today in a barbaric act of terror held at DPL Shopian. Civil and Police officers led by IGP Kashmir laid floral wreaths and paid rich tributes to the martyrs”.
Later, large number of people joined the last rites of all the three deceased policemen in their respective areas.
