We watched and reviewed the 4 new movies in SA cinemas this long weekend

Cape Town – Emma Thompson, Rowan Atkinson and John Travolta hit the big screen this weekend. 

In The Children Act Thompson plays a judge who has to make an important decision. Critics are calling her performance Oscar-worthy. 

Travolta plays one of the most notorious gangsters of our time and Atkinson returns as secret agent Johnny English. 

Also to see: A drama based on the book My Abandonment by Peter Rock which follows a veteran father with PTSD  who lives in the forest with his young daughter.
