ROUGH CUT (NO REPORTER NARRATION) Authorities say two Los Angeles County sheriff's deputies were shot during a confrontation at a park on Wednesday that left one suspect dead.
Los Angeles County Sheriff Jim McDonnell said the incident happened at Salazar Park after deputies responded to a call.
When deputies approached a vehicle described in the call, shots rang out.
The two responding deputies were wounded by gunfire, but are expected to survive.
Authorities say one suspect was killed in the shooting.
