CHANDIGARH : With 10,000 of the total 22,000 complaints received at the chief minister’s window being about poor condition of the roads, the
Haryana government is targeting to make the state roads
pothole free by January 2019.
It was informed by chief minister’s additional principal secretary Rakesh Gupta during a review meeting of all deputy commissioners (DCs), superintendents of police (SPs) and other officers of the districts through a video conference.
Reviewing ‘Harpath’ app, Gupta said 22,000 complaints have been received so far through the App, out of which maximum complaints pertained to the roads falling under the areas of civic bodies. He directed the officers concerned to resolve these complaints as soon as possible. He said like Karnal had got four stars, all other districts should also speed up the resolving of complaints process.
He said ‘Digital Haryana’ workshop has started from Wednesday in different districts and it would continue in a phased manner. He said the workshop would be organized under the chairmanship of the DC concerned.
While reviewing ‘Saksham Haryana’ work, he expressed satisfaction in districts of Panchkula,
Sirsa and Hisar, under which maximum number of youth had been provided apprenticeship. Similarly, private apprentices would also be provided soon. He said under this scheme, the best working industries would be given a citation and notices will be issued to non-performing industries. He directed the nodal officers concerned of ‘Saksham Haryana’ scheme to coordinate with the industries on regular basis.
While reviewing the Shivdhams renovation scheme, he directed the officers to collect 50% through CSR or people from the community groups so that people can get the prescribed facilities as per the scheme. Under this scheme, basic facilities like boundary wall, drinking water, sheds and road would be provided for the cremation grounds.
