Hundreds of women from around the Chicagoland converged on the WE Women Biz Expo and Job Fair. The expo was packed with 80 vendors showcasing the latest and greatest in products and employment awareness services in the Expo. Mostly venders were women.
Women community leaders, business women, professionals, dignitaries’ officials, heads of South Asian community organizations and political activists from all over the Illinois States participated in the WE Women Biz Expo and Job Fair. More than 1000 was arrived to see the expo and engaged in Women networking and Job Fair.
The WE Women Biz Expo and Job Fair hosted the Women’s Empowerment Campaign’ was held on Sunday 16th, 2018, at the Waterford Banquets and Conference Center. It began at 11 a.m. and continued until 6 p.m.
The event is a unique opportunity for businesses to target an upscale women clientele.
The Purpose and objectives of WE were to support entrepreneurship in women, to showcase women professionals & business owners, to celebrate successful women, to raise awareness of existing women’s organizations doing important community work in Chicago community, to support & create community women leaders running for public office & to serve as a networking platform.
Illinois First Lady Diana Rauner, Consul General of India in Chicago Ms. Neeta Bhushan and Illinois Lt. Governor Evelyn Sanguinetti and several other officials, including elected state women officials and the board members of We were present at the opening ceremony. Diana Rauner, Neeta Bhushan, Sanguinetti and Guest Speakers Dr. Trupti Gokanni Dr. Tripti Burt, Syed Hussani and several other delivered remarks at the opening ceremony.
The Best segment was a wonderful fashion extravaganza show displayed some of the wonderful Indian dresses also audience enjoy Woman of Substance Pageant and a group of enthusiastic Youth Forum Panelists about women’s issues.
Anuja Gupta, Rita Singh, Shital Daftari, Ratna Kapur, Shree Gurusamy, Arshia Wajid, Sonica Singh, Rosey A. Bhasin, Preeti Nagpal Miglani, Bhavna Bahadur, Manjari Gambhir, Shweta Jain, Bhargavi Nettem, Dr. Viji Susarla and several other women leaders were behind the success of this event.
