Italy court acquits Eni and ex-boss in Algeria corruption case

An Italian court on Wednesday acquitted energy major Eni and its former boss Paolo Scaroni of bribery in Algeria between 2007 and 2010.

Eni, its former CEO Scaroni and its subsidiary Saipem have been on trial for three years over the alleged payment of $230 million to Algerian officials to win energy contracts.
