Sneakers are great. They're reliable, and usually have a smart look. Sneakers are so in demand, that brands like Vans, Converse and Sketchers usually have a high amount of sales. There are even 'sneakerhead' communities.

To keep up with the demand-supply theory, companies have to come up with new ways, and new models to keep up with the increased demand. Except, some take it a bit too far.

Golden Goose sneakers, which advertises itself as, "most recognised for its innovative distressed-look sneakers – worn in like a trusted favourite and as cool as your vintage jeans" has released a new pair of "crumply" sneakers which is drawing the wrath of the Internet.

The sneakers look like they are super worn-out, with faded white and are "taped" together to be held in place. And the Internet isn't exactly happy with the blatantly obvious glorification of what could be called poverty porn.
