Chronicle Reporter, Bhopal, In a meeting of the Cabinet held today under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, decision was taken to increase the limit of cashless treatment under health and accident group insurance scheme from Rs 2 lakh to Rs 4 lakh for journalists in Madhya Pradesh.
In addition to this, the accident insurance assistance amount payable to the family of the deceased journalist has been hiked to Rs 10 lakh.
The Cabinet decided to include parents in the rules of medical assistance to journalists. Decision has been taken to include the name of dependant parents, who are not government employees and whose annual income from all sources including pension is not more than Rs one lakh in the family definition in Madhya Pradesh Sanchar Pratinidhi Kalyan Sahayata Niyam 2005.
The Cabinet decided to increase the contractual appointment of retired steno typist of Madhya Pradesh Information Center, Mumbai to one year or till alternative arrangement is made, whichever is earlier.
Approval for creation of 7 new tehsils
The Cabinet has decided to create Devri tehsil in Raisen district, Khujner tehsil in Rajgarh district, Suthaliya tehsil in Rajgarh district, Rannoud tehsil in Shivpuri district, Jharda tehsil in Ujjain district, Bahadurpur tehsil in Ashoknagar district and Pithampur tehsil in Dhar district. Creation of posts for the each new tehsil has also been approved.
The Cabinet has granted policy-based/in principle approval to extend infrastructure development scheme of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises till year 2017-18 to 2019-20. In addition, it has been decided to validate CCTNS Project Go-Live from July one, 2016.
The Cabinet approved financial size of total state’s share amount of Rs 168 crore 50 lakh and to extend the agricultural mechanization incentive scheme from year 2017-18 to 2019-20.
To boost organic farming in the state, the Cabinet decided to extend the financial limit of total amount of Rs 260 crore 43 lakh including central share of Rs 156 crore 25 lakh 80 thousand and state’s share of Rs 104 crore 17 lakh 20 thousand of Traditional Farming Development Scheme under National Mission for Sustainable Agriculture from year 2017-18 to year 2019-20.
In addition to this, the Cabinet approved to extend the Intensive Livestock Development Project from year 2017-18 to year 2019-20. The Cabinet decided to extend the 12 temporary posts approved in the establishment of Parliamentary Affairs Department to March 31, 2019.
The Cabinet approved capital investment of Rs 3 crore 36 lakh 15 thousand and creation of 35 new posts to facilitate kidney transplantation facility in Medical College, Bhopal. With the facility of kidney transplantation in Bhopal, additional courses of PG and DM / MCH can also be started in the Department of Medicine and Surgery. This will provide medical specialists with high expertise in the state.
The Cabinet has decided to provide a one-year rebate for the year 2018 in the Senior Select Category / Select Category and Senior Category, currently in the prescribed service period, to ensure better cadre management of the State Administrative Service and to ensure timely promotion order of the officers. The Cabinet also sanctioned 56 posts in the junior category pay scale of the State Administrative Service and 8 posts in the upper class pay scales for 51 districts of the state.
The Cabinet decided to set up Horticulture College, Rehli and Agriculture College, Khurai in Sagar district under Jawaharlal Nehru Agriculture University, Jabalpur in state. Decision was taken for admission of students from the 2018-19 academic session in both the colleges.
In view of the loss to the farmers due to the low rate obtained by producers for Arhar Dal crop in the state, the Cabinet granted permission to the state government for Arhar procurement on support price including Rs 5050 bonus and selling process through market intervention from June 10 to June 30, 2017.
The Cabinet approved to make payment of the amount spent on the storage charge of onion fixed at the rate of Rs 676 per MT then, given the actual calculation of the value per month. In the districts where despite sorting of onions, more than 75 percent or more quantity of onion got destroyed, the expense on sorting would be considered nil, and in the remaining districts, the actual expense of sorting of onion at the then approved amount of Rs 20 per quintal thrice a month that is Rs 60 per quintal per month will be paid.
The Cabinet approved the amendment of keeping tipping fees in place of V.G.F fixed bidding parameter for solid waste management work schemes being implemented through Public-Private Partnership under Swachh Bharat Mission (Urban). In addition it approved continuity of the scheme amount of Rs 1714 crore 64 lakh for the remaining period of Swachh Bharat Mission (Urban).
The Cabinet approved amendment in the Madhya Pradesh IT, ITES and ESDM Investment Promotion Policy 2016. As per the amendment, investment in research development and research work will also be given the benefit of policy.
Besides, in the situation of GST implementation and end of VAT, there is provision of increasing the limit of capital based grant. As per the policy, all benefits will now be given to concerned investors. As per the provisions, Madhya Pradesh State Electronics Development Corporation has been authorized to make amendments in any of the forms related to assistance approval/distribution process.
For any amendment/ change in the Incentive Scheme in future, the Madhya Pradesh Government Empowered Committee has been given the authority.
