Leaders of various political parties expressed shock on the death of Communist leader and writer Kondapalli Koteswaramma. They described her death as a severe loss to progressive forces.
All India Democratic Women’s Association (AIDWA) representatives paid tributes to the body of Koteswaramma on Wednesday. AIDWA City president G. Priyanka and president Y. Satyavathi described Koteswaramma as a ‘bridge between the old and new generations’.
Andhra Pradesh Congress Committee president N. Raghuveera Reddy expressed shock on the death of Koteswaramma. He said Koteswaramma was among the first generation Communist leaders and she had carved a niche for herself as a writer with her ‘Nirjana Varadhi’.
The CPI(M) District Committee members condoled her death. District Committee secretary K. Lokanadham described her death as ‘an irreparable loss to progressive forces’.
