Jhunjhunu, Olympic medal winner wrestler Yogeshwar Dutt on Thursdav said that he will try his best to participate in the Olympic Games in Tokyo in 2020.
While speaking to journalists at the launch of the annual game Mahakumbh Bosam held in Pilani’s Bits of Jhunjhunun district he stated this.
He also participated in Rio Olympics but the injury had troubled him, following which he didn’t participate in Commonwealth and Asian Games. But now he is eyeing for the next Olympics in Tokyo.
‘Whenever, the players need resources and assistance, no one comes forward to help them. But when any player wins medal, then people comes forward to help as well as appreciate them.
In fact, the government should provide assistance from all junior level so that the talent of the village is not overrun in the village and can move forward’, the Veteran wrestler Yogeshwar Dutt said.
‘There are so many talented players, who come out of villages in the country. Despite that, the village remain far away from facilities today’ he added.
While commenting about his own performance, he said that he is working hard to play for the country in the next Olympics. He has also opened an academy in Haryana and is preparing more than 200 players.
His dream is to create as many players as possible in the country. He also said that wrestlers should be away from glamour unlike others players, so that he/she can concentrate on their game.
