Hyderabad: GHMC spends Rs 16.8 crore for Ganesh idol immersion, deploys 1 17 cranes

HYDERABAD: GHMC has spent Rs 16.86 crore for Ganesh immersion arrangements and 117 static cranes and 96 mobiles cranes have been set up at 35 water bodies across the city.
“Expert swimmers are being deployed and 10 special boats have also been arranged,” said GHMC commissioner M Dana Kishore.

Water in 20 mini ponds has also been replaced. “Everyday nearly 600 potholes are being filled, till date around 10,000 potholes have been filled on Ganesh procession route.

A total of 30 lakhs water sachets will be distributed on September 23 and 24, 150 mobile transformers have also been arranged on Moharrum and Ganesh procession route,” read a GHMC statement.
