Samsung launches Galaxy A7 (2018) its first triple camera smartphone
NEW DELHI: South Korean consumer electronics giant Samsung has launched its first ever triple camera smartphone. Called Samsung Galaxy A7 (2018), the mid-segment smartphone will come in Blue, Black, Gold and Pink colour options. The smartphone comes with a starting price tag of 349 Euro and will roll out in select European and Asian markets from next month. It is also expected that the company might soon launch the device in India as well.

The USP of the Samsung Galaxy A7 (2018) is its triple rear camera setup. The device comes with a 24MP main sensor with f/1.7 aperture, 8MP secondary sensor with 120 degree ultra wide lens and a 5MP third sensor which is capable of capturing depth during portrait shots. Apart from this, there is also a 24MP front shooter which claims to offer good results when used in low light conditions. The camera offers all the standard features offered by Samsung such as Selfie Focus, Pro Lighting Mode, AR Emoji, filters and others. The company has also incorporated Scene Optimizer feature in the camera which it has borrowed from Galaxy Note 9.


The Samsung Galaxy A7 (2018) features a 6-inch full HD+ Super AMOLED display with 1080x1220 pixel resolution. The device runs Android 8.0 Oreo operating system and is powered by a 2.2GHz octa-core processor. The dual-SIM smartphone offers 4GB/6GB of RAM and 64GB/128GB internal storage. The users can further expand the storage up to 256GB by adding a microSD card.


Like the recently launched Samsung Galaxy J6+, the Galaxy A7 (2018) also comes with a side mounted fingerprint sensor. Measuring 159.8 x 76.8 x 7.5 mm, the smartphone offers Dolby Atmos support and is backed by a 3300mAh battery with fast charging. In terms of connectivity, the device offers 4G, VoLTE, 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS and NFC as connectivity options.
