CHENNAI: The
Tamil Nadu government on Wednesday created
temporary posts in the rank of additional secretaries in the public works department and the rural development and panchayat raj department, besides additional director in agriculture and director of social security schemes in the senior scale of
IAS for a period of one year.
According to an order issued by chief secretary Girija Vaidyanathan, M Balaji has been posted as additional secretary in the public works department (irrigation-delta districts) while Pinky Jowel has been appointed as additional secretary in the rural development and panchayat raj department. J Vijaya Rani is the new additional director of agriculture.
Sports Development Authority member secretary Reeta Harish Thakkur has been transferred and posted as commissioner of sugar and she will also function as managing director of Tamil Nadu Sugar Corporation. Dharmapuri District Cooperative Sugar Mills Limited managing director K Karpagam has been transferred and posted as joint commissioner of land administration.
J Meghanatha Reddy has been posted as joint commissioner of commercial taxes, large tax payers unit, while D Jaganathan has been appointed as director of social security schemes in the office of commissioner of revenue administration.
Atul Anand has become commissioner of economics and statistics.
Kumaravel Pandian has been posted as deputy commissioner of Greater Chennai Corporation (education).
N Venkatachalam has been appointed as managing director of Tamil Nadu Text Book and Educational Services Corporation.
M Mathivanan, the chief executive officer of CMDA, will hold full additional charge of director of backward classes.
