Brett Kavanaugh’s accuser calls for FBI investigation
Christine Blasey Ford has turned down request to testify before the senate

The woman who accused Donald Trump’s nominee for the US Supreme Court of sexual abuse has said she will not testify before a senate hearing, instead calling for a “full investigation” by the FBI into the alleged crime.
Ford, a psychology professor from California, has accused Brett Kavanaugh (pictured above) of attempting to remove her clothing and putting his hand over her mouth to stop her screaming during a drunken gathering of teenagers in 1982.
CNN reports that since going public with the allegations on Sunday, Ford has been “the target of vicious harassment and even death threats and has been forced to leave her home”.
Ford’s decision not to testify yesterday “raises questions about whether the GOP will proceed with the session and ultimately the vote on Kavanaugh”, the Washington Post says.
Trump has continued to defend Kavanaugh despite the allegations, saying: “I feel so badly for him that he’s going through this. This is not a man that deserves this.”
