The Sree Narayana Dharma Sangham Trust and the SNDP Yogam will hold a 41-day ‘Mandala Mahayajnam’ and ‘Yati Puja’ at Sivagiri from September 21 in connection with the 90th death anniversary of Sree Narayana Guru.
At a press conference here on Tuesday, SNDP Yogam Pathradipar K. Sukumaran Smaraka Thiruvananthapuram union president D. Premaraj said people from across the country would take part in the event.
‘Jyoti prayanams’
On Thursday, ‘jyoti prayanams’ will be taken out in connection with the event.
These will start from Chempazhanthy and Aruvipuram at 7 a.m. and reach Sivagiri in the evening.
The fire from the ‘dekavilakku’ at Chempazhanthy will be received by SNDP vice president Tushar Vellappally and SNDP Trust board member Swami Vishalananda from Sivagiri Madhom head Swami Prakasananda.
The next day, fire for the ‘yajnams’ will be lit from the lamps from Chempazhanthy and Aruvipuram.
Procession
The procession from Aruvipuram will take the Balaramapuram, Kovalam, Muttathara, Chakka, World Market, Kanyiyapuram, Murukkumpuzha, Chirayinkeezhu, Kadakkavoor to reach Varkala.
That from Chempazhanthy will take the Pothencode, Venjaramoodu, Kilimanoor, Alamcode, Kallambalam route to reach Varkala.
