The Delhi Commisison for Women (DCW) on Monday said that it has written to the Ministry of External Affairs over a complaint alleging flesh trade and trafficking to Malaysia.
‘Seeks govt help’
The women’s commission in its letter said: “The complainant has informed that his sister had moved to Malaysia as a domestic help. However, he received a call saying his sister has been forced into flesh trade. She is in the custody of Malaysian police and seeks help from the Indian government as she wishes to return to the country.”
DCW chairperson Swati Maliwal said: “Delhi is increasingly becoming both source and destination for human trafficking rackets. Such international rackets need to be busted. The Centre should take immediate steps to ensure that both the girls return safely to India and are rehabilitated.”
