The winner will receive a prize money of S$1,000 ($729) and will be invited to present his/her winning essay at the 12th India Rendezvous to be held in Mumbai in January 2019, where some 800 insurance professionals are expected to attend. The runner up will receive a prize money of S$500.
The competition closes on 15 November 2018. The essays must be between 2,500-3,000 words long and should be on one of the following three topics:

- The Future of Insurance – Cover or Service
The winners will be chosen by a panel of distinguished top industry professionals from India and abroad which will be chaired by Mrs Alice Vaidyan, Chairman and Managing Director, GIC Re.
Through this competition, the organisers hope to showcase the dynamic Indian insurance industry in all its excitement, trials and tribulations, and to create an atmosphere of learning, analysis, and research among its insurance professionals.
