Two-year-old abducted, abused and dumped on railway track

SURAT: A two-year-old girl, who was abducted from Udhna area of the city on Monday afternoon, was found unconscious from railway track near Govind Nagar in Limbayat after two hours.
The girl is being examined by the doctors at the New Civil Hospital (NCH).

According to police, the girl was abducted from near a Ganesha pandal near her house by some unknown person. They said that the incident took place when the girl’s father, a dyeing mill worker, had dosed off for 15 minutes as he had returned from night shift at the factory.

After police was informed, separate teams were formed to search for the girl. After two hours the girl was found from railway track at Govind Nagar. Police also found injury marks on girl’s throat. The girl was first takne to her house and later sent to NCH. The doctor on duty at NCH said, “Only after examination we will be able to say if the girl was sexually assaulted or not.” She is youngest of the four children of the dyeing mill worker.
