Meet Bigg Boss 12 contestants

The much-awaited 12th season of Salman Khan hosted reality show Bigg Boss hit TV screens on Sunday night. There are 17 contestants, including both commoners and celebrities. Some of the contestants have entered the show as 'vichitra jodis'. All the contestants will be locked in a beach-themed house for 100 days. Here are all the contestants this season.

Dipika Kakar:The Sasural Simar Ka actor is one of the most high-profile contestants this year. She married her longtime boyfriend Shoaib Ibrahim earlier this year. Talking about why decided to enter the show, Dipika said, “Everyone has a responsibility. Me and Shoaib also have some. That’s why we have taken the decision to participate in the show.”

Karanvir Bohra:While Karanvir is known mainly for shows like Kasautii Zindagii Kay, Qubool Hai and Naagin 2, he is no stranger to reality TV. He has taken part in shows like Nach Baliye, Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 6, Khatron Ke Khiladi Darr Ka Blockbuster and others. Karanvir is easily one of the favourites this season.

Srishty Rode:Another TV actor, Srishty Rode is known for appearing in shows like Chotti Bahu, Punar Vivah - Ek Nayi Umeed, and more recently Ishqbaaz. Rumours had said that she will be entering the show with her boyfriend Manish Naggdev but that is now no longer the case.

Neha Pendse:Last seen as Kapil Sharma's co-host in his show Family Time With Kapil Sharma, Nehha Pendse is known for her work in Hindi and Marathi television.

S Sreesanth:Sreesanth is an ex-cricketer for whom his game and controversy walked hand in hand. He was also known for his over-the-top behaviour on the field, and we can expect some of that in the house of Bigg Boss.

Anup Jalota and Jasleen Matharu: Anup Jalota, who is known for singing devotional songs, will be in Bigg Boss 12. With him will be his co-performer and rumoured girlfriend Jasleen Matharu.

Romil Chaudhary and Nirmal Singh:A peculiar pair, Romil Chaudhary and Nirmal Singh are a lawyer and a cop, respectively. Audiences can expect a lot of fun from these two Haryanvis.

Shivashish Mishra and Sourabh PatelFrom Madhya Pradesh, Sourabh and Shivashish are unlikely friends. While Shivashish is a businessman, Sourabh is a farmer. Their reasons to be in Bigg Boss are different, though. Sourabh wants to transform the image of the farmer. Shivashish is here just to have fun.

Deepak Thakur and Urvashi Vani: This is probably one of the most interesting jodis. Deepak Thakur was a singer on Anurag Kashyap's Gangs of Wasseypur, and Urvashi Vani is just an infatuated fan who ran away from her family to be with him.

Saba Khan and Somi Khan:Sisters from Jaipur, Saba and Somi Khan are both bold and confident. They both want to win Bigg Boss. However, they insist the sibling rivalry will not come in the way of their in-show relationship.

Roshmi Banik and Kriti Verma: Before the premiere, the audience was asked to vote for their favourite two Bigg Boss Outhouse contestants using the Voot app. Roshmi and Kriti got the maximum number votes and entered the Bigg Boss 12 house.
