India finished off at the 12th place in the WSF women's team championship which concluded here on Sunday.

In Paris on the previous occasion in 2016, India had ended at the 9th place. India’s final match in the placing phase was against Japan and it lost 1-2 with only Aparajitha Balamurukan winning her match against Ayumi Watanabe 11-6, 11-3, 11-5. Sunayna Kuruvilla lost to Japan’s number one Satomi Watanabe 5-11, 9-11, 9-11 while Tanvi Khanna despite making a brave attempt could only stretch her match against Risa Sugimoto to five games. The Japanese won 9-11, 11-5, 3-11, 12-10, 13-11 to help Japan finish at 11th place.
