Brock Lesnar made a surprise return at WWE Hell in a Cell 2018.
WWE Hell in a Cell 2018 witnessed a huge huge surprise as Brock Lesnar made a return in the main event between universal champion Roman Reigns and Braun Strowman. While Mick Foley served as the special guest referee in the match he failed to control the outcome of the match as out of nowhere, Lesnar’s music hit and The Beast along with Paul Heyman made their way to ringside. Wearing a full beard, Lesnar walked up to the cell and broke down the door to storm into the ring. The wily old Walrus pepper-sprayed Foley in the eyes as Lesnar took advantage of the situation and beat both Reigns and Strowman with them. He then hit Strowman and Reigns with consecutive F5s. A new official did enter four-square and requested the timekeeper to ring the bell and declare it a no contest. Elsewhere, The Miz and Maryse defeated Daniel Bryan and Brie Bella while Drew McIntyre and Dolph Ziggler retained their Raw Tag Team Championship against Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins.

Earlier, Raw Women’s Champion Ronda Rousey defeated Alexa Bliss to mark her second consecutive pay-per-view victory. Battling injured ribs Rousey overwhelmed The Goddess to continue her title reign.

Meanwhile, controversy erupted in the WWE Championship fight between AJ Styles and Samoa Joe when ‘The Phenomenal One’ tapped out to Joe but the referee failed to witness it. A visibly flustered Joe then charged towards the ref venting his anger. But AJ rolled him back to get a pin and keep his title safe.

In the blue roster, there was a change in command as Becky Lynch defeated ‘The Queen’ Charlotte Flair to become the new SmackDown Women’s Champion.
