JAIPUR: A large number of people greeted and welcomed their relatives who returned from Haj, at the Jaipur airport, on Sunday morning . However,
seven-month-old Mohammad Ali, who is yet to learn how to walk, was the centre of attraction for everyone. As Ali returned from Haj along with his parents, people clicked pictures of him and selfies with him.
Many called him ‘Haaji saab’, as the family reached their house at
Surajpole Anand Mandi,
Pahad Ganj, a densely populated area in the walled city.
His parents, Abdul Naeem and Nazia, were elated with the gesture of the locals and recalled many good things from their Haj pilgrimage.
“Many pilgrims who met us during the Haj, gave him various tohafas (gifts). We got an extra luggage which is full of gifts given by people from Pakistan, Afghanistan and various states of India, during our visit,” said Naeem while talking to TOI.
Ali is their youngest son and the only one who has completed Haj at such a young age. “I have three other children, including the elder daughter Namera (14), Mohammad Nozain (12) and Alvira Naaz (8), but during their birth or thereafter, we had no plans for Haj. I think the almighty Allah is responsible for Haj being completed by my son at this age,” Naeem added.
Recalling how the couple planned to take Ali along, Naeem said, “We had applied for Haj on January 21 this year. My wife was pregnant and we were expecting delivery by the last week of February. However, he was born after completion of eight months of pregnancy on January 27. That’s when we thought we can’t leave the infant back home while we go for Haj.”
The family added that things, varying from applying of passport to his early delivery, went in their favour. “Jisko bhi pata chala Ali humare saath jayega, sabne dua ki aur humari madad ki (Whoever came to know that Ali was accompanying us to the Haj, helped us and prayed for us),” Naeem added.
The family believes that his Haj was planned by almighty Allah on his birth. “I hope his Haj will make him into a stronger human being and I will ensure he gets a good education,” Naeem said.
