Exam racket busted, 6 held in Bundi

KOTA: Bundi police, following suspicion on two candidates, whose faces and signatures did not match with the ones in examination centre’s documents during LDC exam, busted a gang and arrested six youths.
Two candidates identified as Ritesh Swarnkar (23) and Sudhanshu Choudhary (23) both residents of Nalanda district in Bihar were on Sunday caught during LDC exam in place of Santosh Meena and Virendra Meena, respectively. The two who were supposed to sit for the exam are from Karauli district, Bundi SP Om Prakesh told media on Sunday evening. One of the two original candidates, Virendra Meena, along with three others involved in the gang were also arrested from outside the school premises where the examination of LDC was being conducted, the SP said. A car was also seized from them, he added.

The examination centres’ superintendents informed the police about the signatures and faces not matching in the exam documents. The police reached the two examination centres and interrogated the candidates. Further investigation is underway.

The seventh accused in the matter, the other original candidate Santosh Meena is absconding and efforts are underway to nab him, said DSP Samandar Singh Champawat.
